Local Children Shop With Cops
December 16, 2017
Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries teamed up with Virginia State Police for the annual Shop With a Cop event. Conservation Officers and State Troopers spent the day with deserving children shopping for Christmas gifts, clothes, and school supplies at Walmart in Rocky Mount. The children had over $100 to spend thanks to generous donors in the community. The officers, children, and their families were then treated to lunch at Bojangles' in Rocky Mount. This event provided children with an opportunity to see law enforcement officers in a different role. Bojangles' was proud to be able to participate in this event. |

Coffee with a Cop @ Plateau Plaza Bojangles'
April 27, 2017 - Plateau Plaza
This morning, The Franklin County Sheriff's Office sponsored another Coffee With A Cop Event hosted by Bojangles / Arrington Enterprises. This event was held at the Bojangles @ Plateau Plaza, Rt. 220 North. A great morning as The Office of The Sheriff and Virginia State Police were in attendance. Because of the great location of this Bojangles, we had a Western Regional Jail Officer, plus a Danville City Sheriff's Deputy stop by en route of their transport duties. Sheriff Bill Overton said, "This particular event had a such a different aspect than our other Coffee With A Cop outreaches. With this popular location at Plateau Plaza, we were able to interact with many people from other areas, as well as our Franklin County residents. Those that stopped by were so complimentary of what we were doing today. Thanks to Arrington Enterprises for continuing to host these wonderful events" |
